Reason for this visit

The international forex market in Hong Kong has been developing since the 1970s. The forex market has become more and more active, developing into an international forex market. Hong Kong forex market is an invisible market without a fixed trading venue. Traders conduct forex transactions through various modern communication facilities and computer networks. Hong Kongs geographical location and time zone conditions are similar to those of Singapore, making it very convenient to trade with other international forex markets. Participants in Hong Kong forex market are mainly commercial banks and financial companies. There are three types of forex brokers in this market: local brokers, whose business is limited to Hong Kong; international brokers who have expanded their business to the Hong Kong forex market since the 1970s; international brokers that grow locally and has expanded their business to forex markets abroad. In an attempt to help investors or practitioners gain a more comprehensive understanding of current status of forex brokers in Hong Kong, WikiFX survey team determines to pay on-site visits to local companies.

On-site visit

In this issue, the survey team went to Hong Kong, China to visit broker Hantec Bullion as planned according to its regulatory address that Suite 4609, 46/F, COSCO Tower, 183 Queens Road Central, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong.

A seasoned and professional inspection team, committed to safeguarding investor interests, conducted a meticulously planned on-site verification of the prominent forex broker Hantec Bullion at Cosco Tower in Sheung Wan.

The target address is located in Sheung Wans core financial and commercial district in Hong Kong. This area is renowned for its high concentration of financial institutions, bustling commercial facilities, and heavy pedestrian flow. Surrounding the building are various shops, restaurants, and residential properties, embodying the quintessential characteristics of a financial hub.

Upon arrival at COSCO Tower, the investigators first observed the building‘s exterior. The tower is situated along Queen’s Road Central, a major thoroughfare, and features a modern architectural design. The surrounding area offers convenient transportation and a vibrant commercial atmosphere.

Upon entering the building lobby, the inspection team easily noted a directory board displaying floor information. Verification confirmed that Unit 4609 on the 46th floor is listed as “Hantec Bullion Limited”, which matches the registered information precisely.

The team then proceeded to the 46th floor via elevator and observed that, in addition to Hantec Bullion Limited, the floor directory also listed an affiliated company, “Hantec Pacific Limited”. However, Unit 4609 was still prominently labeled under Hantec Bullion.

Upon reaching Unit 4609, the investigators noted that the Chinese name of Hantec and the corporate logo were visibly displayed at the reception, further confirming the company‘s branding. Although internal access was not obtained, the external signage, directory listings, and logo presence sufficiently verified the company’s physical occupancy at this address.

Through the on-site investigation, it is confirmed that the broker maintains a physical presence at the above address.

Conclusion

The survey team went to Hong Kong, China to visit broker Hantec Bullion as scheduled and found the company at its regulatory address. It denotes that the broker has a physical office at the place. Meanwhile, investors are advised to make a judicious decision following much deliberation.
